Olympic Games of 2012 will be held in London, UK

Wednesday the 6th of July 2005 was the day it was officially announced that the Olympic Games of 2012 would be held in London, UK.

This is something that the British Olympic Association has been working on for the city since 1997.

Hi Franklyn,

My favorite is ice skating because I can't ice skate and wish I could. It is beautiful to watch.

I also enjoy the bob sleding and sking. And the gymnastics.

How about you?

I am interested in Ice Hockey. My son Adam played travel Ice hockey from age 7 to age 15. I like the fast pace and the quick thinking stradegy involved.

After Hockey he and I share the same opinion. Baseball is like watching grass grow.

My son got to play in the Capital Center at age 8 right before a Washington Capitals / Houston Oilers game.

He also got to play on the US Olympic rink in Lake Placid. He also got to skate on the Olympic Speed Skating Oval. Boy that thing is huge.

One of the parents was Chris Cross. (his real name) He was actually an Olympic bobsled participant. Naturally the whole Hockey team and parents just had to go down the Olympic Boblsed run in a full size Olympic bobsled.

They started halfway down the course (they were doing about 65 in the actual Olympics where we started.)

The had a pro steering and a pro pushing in the end and all the kids and parents in the middle 3 or 4 at a time. We went down thru Zig and Zag. So I like Bobsledding as well.
