I have no way of knowing the validity of this information but would like any information
you might know about it.

Franklyn,
I saw a news story on this and Im sorry I forget which station or if it was ABC, NBC etc.
Its actually true, the shale could produce oil and tons of it.
But the downside is that extracting it right now is pretty expensive.
Most of the shale business's went bust and I think there is only one guy right now that
is still trying to make a go of it.
It would NOT lower gas prices because of the cost of extraction which would be passed
onto consumers.
IF they could find new ways to extract it that were cheaper and produced less toxic
byproducts and better ways of dealing with the byproducts then who knows.
It is an option but not one that I think is going to be implemented anytime soon.
Honestly I think America really needs to go all out with alternative sources of energy
other than oil.
You might try googling the story every other month
and see what progress they are making
with new methods etc.

Too many in private sectors involved and therefore in politics. They seem to have
the power and money to tell the rest of us how to live in their scheme of things....
Yet the common worker gets caught in the middle of the tangle as we need what they
are controling.
