Planet Mandy is discovered in the Andromeda Galaxy in the Erhowe Star system
Scientists were elated to discover a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) in the Erhowe
Star system.
This new planet has been named for the astronomer who accidently noticed it on pictures
from the Hubble telescope. Mandy Wright has been well known for making new discoveries
however this is the first planet ever seen in another star system in another galaxy.

Ah, sorry, about the new planet. It must be a hoax. We cannot see that well the planets
in our own galaxy outside of the solar system. Andromeda Galaxy is 2.9 million light
years away.
"The Andromeda galaxy (M31) is about 2.9 million light years away from us. If you would ask
whether this is measured from the sun or the earth the answer is that it does not matter.
The reason is that the earth-sun distance is about 8 light minutes as compared to
2.9 million light years!
What is the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) distance from the Sun?

I am not into planets but it is hard to believe that they found a new planet. Why
wasn't it on the news or in newspapers?(or was it?)
