| Repairing around an electrical floor outlet |

Picture #1 Before repairing a small register vent hole, the electrician installed an electrical floor outlet to be repaired around. Picture #2 This is a little later in the repair. Tools included in this picture include a pair of nippers which are very handy in removing the bottom of the groove when necessary. The circular saw, and chisels are also important tools in such a repair. Picture #3 This is the finished repair. The small block plane at the bottom of the picture helps with minor adjustments in width to make this repair go together.

The above repairs were done in an old schoolhouse wood floor in Colstrip MT. the school was built in the twenties and when the "new" school was built the old schoolhouse was converted into apartments for the teachers by putting in dividing walls and each room needed a heat register. I was involved in restoring the floor to it original condition (without the holes) The building is currently a museum
