Here are the facts: (and correct me if I'm wrong...)
Right LOL!! I'm guessing that this email will never get to you and if it
does
you will just delete it but I am gonna use it to create a webpage as it
has some good information
> .FREE classified ads are just about useless! Even if your ads are very

FREE classified ads have one saving grace. Believe it or not I have
found
some of my ads showing up in the rankings of search engines. I have also
discovered
some search engines index guest pages right along with the website so if
your Url is in a questbook it could get indexed.

I have never used Opt-in mailing lists. To me they are somewhat
legalized SPAM
and as you say you are "Preaching to the Choir" and I just don't have
time to answer
all the legitimate email as it is because of all the SPAM I get already.

Here I have to disagree with you. Search Google.com for "I Teach Wood
Floors", "wood floors", "installing wood floors", and you will see my
site "I Teach Wood Floors" will be on the first three pages if not the
first listings. The trick is to be unique enough. I would agree if you
are trying to get top placement for "business opportunity" you have your
work cut out for you.
> .Your FFA pages are worse than useless! No wonder they call them Free
> For All.
I only tried this one once or more correctly I should say a webmaster who
was looking to promote my website used one using my email address without
my permission. My email crashed from all the confirmation emails or
should I say all the "LEGALIZED SPAM"?

I would have to say not everybody. There are "Newbies" entering the
internet everyday and "newbies" finding Surf-for-hits everyday as well.
In addition Surf-For-Hits help make the counter look a little better. If
you were doing reciprocal links with someone would you be more inclined
to exchange with some who has 300 on their counter or 30,000? This
counter also helps if you are looking to sell space on your webpage or
interest visitors.

Autohits have a use. If you are webmaster working with a client that is
just looking at stats.

I would say you need at least one website where you control the editing
and can add banners. As far as the siphoning that works the other way
too. You siphon traffic from other sites.

I tried this once. I would have to agree with you.
